Online Dating - Self Advertising!

Image
When you're online dating, there are those looking for a relationship and there are those looking for hook ups. I guess a hook up is a hook up no matter who it is.. BUT.. don't you feel better when a good looking guy asks if you want to hook up?! It's like in high school when the good looking quarter back asks you out on a date. That's wayyy better than the captain of the chess club or wood shop club asking you out (although these people can be really attractive as well, I'm basing it on Hollywood stereotypes). I recently changed my profile to state that I am NOT looking for a hook up. It also states to message me if you know how to read! I get the message below. So CLEARLY!!! He did not read my profile, or maybe he can't read?! Saw the picture and thought, definitely captain of the chess club... well he has balls.. unfortunately it was a straight; BLOCK - DELETE. The kid looks like he's 21; There are over 140,000 people online at any given time....

NEEDY BABIES!

Yes online dating is easier because there isn't the face to face contact. BUT being needy is NOT OK! Being needy in person is not ok and being needy online is not ok! Needy Baby #1 Specs: 33 years old Studying to become a Physician's Assistant, but doesn't know whether he's going to get in Sort of a 'Smart Alec' Last relationship - approx a year ago (was cheated on) - well... is it really cheated on when technically he was the "other man"? So, she cheated on her boyfriend with this guy, but ended up going back to her boyfriend. I decided to talk to someone who lives in Buffalo.. Which I don't care, because I know I will never meet him, so what's the harm talking to someone just for the sake of talking to someone? Well.. the harm is I have to hear about this guy whine about not being in a relationship. After talking to him for approx a month, he started whining, not knowing where he was going in life and the fact that he w...

Don't Tamper With Your Standards!

I wrote in my blog yesterday, hoping my next entry would be on Monday telling you guys what an awesome time I had at the movies. Instead... I am writing the very next day.. Why?? Because the dude texted me saying, "Sorry, but I need to cancel. I think you're pretty, but I found someone who's more suited for me". I don't get it.. Did he find another bus driver? The reason why the title of this blog is Don't Tamper with Your Standards , is because I feel like I lowered my standard for this guy and he still disappointed. I mean yes, I did get a free meal out of it, but I still didn't get a second date. There were yellow-red flags that were going up, but didn't mention them in the previous blog just in case there was a third date.. Things I looked past on: Education It is important for me the guy is educated, not that those with a degree are smarter, but it shows that they can commit to something and they can move up in their career. Wheels On the Bus Round and Round!

Not so bad looking guy messaged me.. Specs: Age: 37 Lives: Not too far from me Occupation: Transit Driver Education: Police College Date: Saturday Night Picture Provided by Union Social Eatery I was really excited for this date! We were going to a restaurant I have never been to called Union Social Eatery and we conversed well through BBM. He didn't have corny jokes like most 37 year olds, he is kind of a hater (which I actually like), but all in all he seemed like a good guy. Our date was at 6:00pm, while I was driving at around 5:40 I get a message saying that he's already there. I was thinking "DAYUM this guy is eager!". When I got there he got up to greet me, gave me a hug and we sat down ( green flag ). I was wearing my 4 inch heels, so I was a bit taller than him ( yellow check ); plus he has receding hairline (borderline red flag ), which I knew from his pictures. The place had decently priced food and on Saturdays they have $5.00 house wine!!...
