He's Just Not Into Me!

Earlier I wrote how I didn't want to write about the marathon runner because I thought there was going to be a second date. Why did I think that? The first date wasn't bad, it wasn't the greatest, but it was definitely better than the last date I went on.

Specs

  • Tall
  • Great job, he is a Civil Engineer
  • Introvert (according to mama Jo that is a great quality in a husband)
  • Has passion for running - having passion for something is a good quality
Mama Jo was convinced this was my future husband. He mentioned he was an introvert, but said once he got to know the person he opens up. Talking to this guy on text was like pulling teeth. It was so painful! Not only were the conversations boring, it wasn't going anyways. He asked me, since I work so much how would I find time to date? I told him if I was interested in the guy I would make dating my priority. He then responded, "You do realize given your looks and body any guy will want to be with you a lot". I replied by saying, "Awww.. thanks.. but I would definitely make time". He didn't respond after that, so I messaged him a month later (few days after my bad date) because honestly I had nothing else to say to him. After a few days of texting the messages stopped again. I don't have time to keep following up with the guy, if he was interested he would make an effort to get to know me, even if he was an introvert.

There were some weird qualities about him, but I thought I would over look it because of my last bad date. But then again, I don't want to be with a guy for the sake of being with someone. I am headed to a wedding in Hawaii next week, and that reminded me I don't need to settle, someone for me is out there! God has a plan!
