First Date in Almost 2 Years! Starting Off Ok!

Now that the weather is getting nicer, I am ready to go on dates again. Today, April  24, 2022 I went on my first date in 2 years. Weedman is still around for my biweekly trist, but he knows that I am looking for something more serious, while he is not (or maybe just not with me). I have been talking to a guy who let’s just call him my boss 1.0. Like my boss he is Japanese, but that’s the only thing they have in common.

He is looking for something casual, but told him I already have that with someone. But he still wanted to meet. I told Weedman about the date, he is ok with it. I also suggested he lives his best hoe life, but he said he didn't have time.

Prior to this date, we have been speaking for at least a month. First week, he was gone for 10 days to

Vancouver. Then I cancelled because I didn't want to go on a date, in case I failed my M2 exam. He then sent me this text and I almost cancelled. I know it was a joke, but I don't know him and we haven't met.

Specs on Boss 1.0:

  • At least 4th generation Japanese
  • Social Worker
  • Looking for casual
  • Multiple tattoos including a rising sun tattoo (which I do not like)
  • Thinks Fast and Furious is garbage
  • Watched 90 Day Fiance
The reason why I call him Boss 1.0 is because my boss is also Japanese, but has $$$$$$ more money than this guy. When I told my coworker about this date she joked that I secretly wanted to date my 32 year old boss.. lol.

We went to Toast on Bloor. The conversation with the guy was ok. Nothing that made me have butterflies in my stomach or anything, it was like having brunch with a friend. Is that what dates are supposed to be like now?

When he mentioned he watched 90 Day Fiance with all the spin offs I was super excited. The date ended well, he asked if he can give me a hug and I said yes. Later on he messaged mentioning watching 90 Day Fiance, and watching it together.

This post is boring because nothing exciting happened. But there might be a second date.. who knows, let see where this goes, or if it goes anywhere.

There is a potential scam coming down the pipeline. The person reached out to me via LinkedIn posing as a potential opportunity and now he's sending me 2 page emails.
